Rural Farmers Hub (RFH) is an end-to-end provider of agriservices that targets smallholder farmers in rural communities. It was founded in 2018 by cofounders Olusegun Adegun and Gabriel Eze; both founders come from farming backgrounds and were inspired to start RFH after witnessing persistently low yields and a lack of agricultural support services in their home villages. RFH’s flagship product is Capture, which processes satellite data using a proprietary algorithm to automatically generate recommendations for improving soil quality and crop yields. Recommendations are sent to the user/farmers via multiple channels (SMS, voice call, etc). Agricultural field agents also pay regular visits to farmers to check on progress and provide additional guidance. Through third parties, Rural Farmers Hub also provides additional services like crop insurance, micro-credit, mechanization, postharvest services and market linkage to help farmers increase their returns. Our core service is available for a subscription fee of $7/ month or $28 for a season; others are either commission-based or for a fee.
