Market Opportunity/ Problem
The Global Aquaponics market is estimated to reach $870m by end of 2022. The market is segmented into a number of areas with our particular focus on the Produce segment which includes Fish type, Fruits, Vegetables which is estimated at about $9m in Ghana. Our target market is Ghana as a start and includes owners of vegetable and fish farms, consumers of organic vegetables and fish protein as well un(under)employed graduates. There is a growing vegetable farming population of about 3million and a fish farming population of about 400,000 in Ghana with our eyes set on some 900,000 farmers in northern Ghana in the next 12 months. We will create strategic partnerships with agribusinesses/agricultural cooperatives which have a lot of farmers in their network. With a larger target audience group, we will receive more exposure from word-of-mouth marketing(end-users).
